Animal portrait artist Ann Seward is internationally renowned for creating the most amazingly lifelike hound portraits. Each portrait is an authentic, accurate and totally realistic evocation of the beagle, harrier, foxhound or staghound.

Meeting each subject personally at Kennels, Ann is able to recognize their individual personalities, characters and idiosyncrasies. She takes a set of colour photographs, makes notes on colour, markings, blemishes, etc., and then gifted with a photographic memory she recalls each subject when creating the detailed beautiful works of art in her studio.

These hound portraits are usually commissioned by their puppy-walkers, hunt committees, supporters’ clubs or huntsmen, for presentations, birthday gifts or personal gifts.

Additionally, the portrait can be reproduced as a set of limited edition fine art prints and cards to be sold for hunt funds.
